Scotland has one of the most ancient detailed and ordered Heraldic systems in the world. Adding to this always gives great satisfaction. The crests of the Knights of the Thistle in St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh are a treasure trove of fine Heraldic carving, the Thistle Chapel itself a wonderful example of Scottish carving.
